IOSD offers e-government consulting and support to participating and/or requesting states. This service is offered in continuity with the historical e-government conference hosted by the World Bank and Development Gateway in Washington, D.C., June 11-12, 2004. The conference included presentations by more than a dozen developing country practitioners who have been directly engaged in designing and implementing e-government applications. Members of the private sector and academia were also in attendance, and several made presentations.

The conference focused on innovative e-government tools for improving service delivery, increasing transparency, promoting greater efficiency in government, and enhancing community development and citizen participation. In addition, strategies to surmount the political, legal, and technical challenges of e-government were examined. The conference agenda and links to conference materials are provided below.
