Since 2008, IOSD is an affiliated institution of EUCLID (Euclid University). IOSD now functions as an international MOU-driven institute within EUCLID dedicated to Sustainable Development and committed to developing other operational programs such as MCC support. IOSD will continue to function as a coordinating network of academic, financial, professional and governmental participants committed to pooling their resources and ideas to promote sustainable development programs in nations and regions having priority status.

IOSD also functions as an umbrella group for several sub-organizations and initiatives.
