The IOSD is an affiliated institution of EUCLID (Euclid University). IOSD functions as an international MOU-driven institute within EUCLID dedicated to Sustainable Development (especially Education) and committed to operational programs. IOSD functions as a coordinating network of academic, financial, professional and governmental participants committed to pooling their resources and ideas to promote sustainable development programs in nations and regions having priority status.

IOSD also functions as an umbrella group for several sub-organizations and initiatives.
